Our goal is to help you provide your children with books, games and other resources which help them succeed in life.
The Challenge
Learning and retaining information has become less important as a life skill because information is instantly and freely available via the web. IT skills are less valued as devices become so much more intuitive to use. The skills which we need to teach now are more self-developmental.
We need our children to grow up with the self-belief to understand that they control their own destiny. They need to know that if they set a goal and work towards it with planning and determination then it will happen. They should understand the power of Teamwork, the real value of Sharing and the deep fulfilment that comes from making a contribution. These skills are taught to us as adults to help us improve our home lives and create success at work, but actually they are the qualities of a rounded Human Being. We have entrepreneurs in business; they have ideas, create opportunities, take balanced risks, make things happen for themselves and those around them. These are the exact same qualities our children need to be successful 'entrepreneurs of life'.
The Big Idea
Robin Sharma will often summarise by saying "and here is the Big Idea". At HumanBean, our big idea is that children can start learning the attitudes and behaviors of success from an early age. Why wait until we reach adulthood to benefit from this universal wisdom? Imagine the power of starting this journey of self development in your early years. How much more prepared for the turmoil of teenage years could they be if they had the right attitudes to start with.
Making a difference
There are many books and courses for Parents who want these outcomes for their children. Some are excellent and we will recommend them on this site. Our goal, however, is to introduce these ideas directly to your children via entertaining stories and interactive games - the resources they are already comfortable with. These are designed to be standalone resources which can be given directly to your child. It obviously works better if you read the books and play the games together, but they should benefit even without adult intervention.
We sincerly hope you see the value in this approach and look forward to your feedback.
